あのeBoostrをParallelsで使ってみました
自宅で家族がつかっているWindowsパソコン。かなり起動も遅く、動作も重い。
そんな中で発見したeBoostr。
ソフトウェアの力で遅いパソコンが早くなるらしい。USBメモリーみたいな外部メモリーが必要ですけど。
ためしたところ明らかに早い。体感的には1.5倍ぐらい(かなりいい加減ですが）な感じ。
これは買いでふ～！！ということでWindows用に即、購入。
Windowsで試してかなり快適。キャッシュにヒットすればするほど早くなってくる感じ。
これはVMWareとParallelsで試してみよう。ということで試してみました。
４Gの古いタイプのUSBをつかって２Gずつそれぞれに割り当てればいいや。って考えたんですけど試してみるとUSBデバイス自体をキャッシュメディアとして認識するので別々のUSBメモリーを用意しないとだめみたいです。
うーん、残念。
Parallelsで試してみるとやはり若干早くなります。
いい感じなんですけど、MacBookProでUSBを抜いたりさしたりは面倒だ。と根本的な問題にあたり、結局、せっかくのスピードアップはあきらめていままでのまま使うことにします。
ま、実験結果としては効果ありということですね。
