Time MachineとVMWare Fusion
VMWare Fusionを起動させた後のTImeMachineによるバックアップはそのフォルダごとバックアップしようとしているらしく、確保してい容量分、全部をバックアップするつもりのようです。なので、今もなんだかんだ８５Gぐらいのバックアップをとっています。
その分バックアップには容量と時間がかかります。iMac 1Tのハードディスクを今はUSB2.0、１Tのハードディスクにバックアップしておりますが、ちょっとした過去までしかバックアップがとられていません。
今は３月３０日。最も古い過去は２週間前の３月１６日になっています。これはバックアップとしてはちょっと心細いですよね。
で、周りをみまわしてみると２T、FW800のハードディスクが余っておりました。ムービー編集用に使おうと思っていたのですが、最近は大きなムービー編集の仕事は回ってこないので、このハードディスクを使っちゃえばいいかって思ったのですが、FW800のハードディスクは貴重なものであることに思い至り断念しました。
2Tぐらいで安いHDDを見つけるまでは現状の環境でがんばる事にします。
追記
VMWareの仮想フォルダをTimeMachineの対象からはずしました。するとバックアップの容量も減り、バックアップ時間も短縮されました。
ちなみに仮想フォルダはHomeの書類の中にありました。
